This is a well-done and impressive set of exhibits. Wow. Who would have thought you could see original Monet, Degas, Cassat, priceless pieces of folk art and beautiful gardens in northern Vermont a must see for anyone visiting upstate NY or the Lake Champlain area of Vermont. Visited August 2023. So why is it in Shelburne Museum's collection, you ask? This doll, made sometime around 1850, is the only known remaining example of the work of London wax and composition doll maker Anthony Bazzoni. His printed mark is found above the doll's hips.
